GICHNER HISTORY

Gichner Shelter Systems has over 38 years of experience as the world class leader in the design, manufacture, integration and test of tactical shelters, containers, and subsystems which are used by every branch of the United States Armed Forces and its Allies. Our core product since 1969 has been tactical military shelters. Gichner’s capabilities and resources include advanced engineering, system and subsystem design and integration, and system test capabilities. These capabilities qualify Gichner as a single source for platform design and electronics integration. These enhanced skills and infrastructure enable Gichner to provide turnkey mobile electronics and communications solutions.

Historically, Gichner has successfully supported prime contractors in meeting their system program requirements. Our role in support of these programs has varied from being a "supplier" to being selected as a "teammate" with full-scale program management, subcontractor management and extensive customer visibility.

This gradual evolution of technical capabilities and management experience, coupled with a new corporate commitment have positioned Gichner to successfully manage and execute programs requiring mobile systems and electronics platform design and integration as a prime contractor.

As a prime contractor, Gichner has the latitude to draw upon its vast experience and expertise in "packaging" and "repackaging" electronic systems and subsystems with innovative, sound engineering solutions.
