OVERVIEW

The S-832/G or Standardized Integrated Command Post Shelter (Version 4) is a highly mobile platform configurable to provide systems for planning, coordinating, and controlling tactical operations. This highly integrated shelter provides an interior environment that is shielded from environmental, electronic, and chemical / biological threats. The SICPS V4 includes an onboard 10kW generator, 18,500 BTU ECU, Gas Particulate Filter Unit (GPFU), full power distribution and control, equipment racks, lighting, power and signal interface panels, a Quick Erect Antenna Mast (QEAM), Vehicle Intercom Systems (VIS) and operator chair. This system can be easily outfitted for almost any tactical application.

The basic shelter, constructed of paper honeycomb bonded to aluminum skins, is a derivative of the DOD standard S-788 Type II shelter and mounts on the HMMWV using a flexible mounting kit. Gichner incorporated several enhancements to the basic shelter during the development of the SICPS V4 to improve the design. The door and escape hatch jams have been redesigned to improve the maintainability and EMI performance of the shelter. With these modifications the basic shelter provides greater than 60dB of shielding. This improvement is available on all Gichner S-788 type shelters.
